JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineer will ensure that the procedures in use guarantee quality, reliability, repeatability, and efficiency of all products in production. They will be responsible for insuring that incoming, in-work and final inspection are in compliance with the appropriate quality standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Know and understand IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, -750, -1580
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9102 controls and regulations
- Know and understand ESD procedures
- Knowledge of various materials and processes; metals, ceramics, electronics, thermoplastics, semiconductors, etc.
- Knowledge in the use of epoxies and bonding materials
- Oversee training and certification
- Defect analysis reporting and corrective action documentation and implementation
- Creating and reviewing SARs and CARs
- Creating quality reports
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Work well in a fast paced environment
- Support customer audits and be the quality contact for customer and supplier questions regarding sterility, validation, and deviation
- Works closely with Sales, R&D, and Manufacturing to optimize the company’s products and relationships with our customers including technical presentations at Customer sites
- Ongoing efforts to continually improve quality in the manufacturing area.
- Ensure all operations are safe and ergonomically considered.
WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Normal working environment involving high physical risks including the risk of exposure to potentially dangerous situations, which require safety precautions. The noise level in the work environment is usually noisy.
May need to work extended hours.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone keyboard, stoop kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job. Light to moderate lifting is required, regular, predictable attendance is required; as business demands dictate.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in EE, Math, Physics or related technical field
- Minimum 7 years’ experience
- Experience with RF design, test, and integration
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
