Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Veterinary Pharmacy Technician to join our specialty and emergency team. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented technician who’s confident with pharmacology, enjoys keeping things organized, and thrives in a fast-paced hospital supporting multiple departments.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure medications are appropriate, accurate, and ready for patient discharge across all departments
- Fill prescriptions efficiently and accurately, including labeling, documentation, and processing
- Support inpatient care by preparing medications during busy periods in ICU
- Handle and prepare injectable medications for inpatient treatments with precision and confidence
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant medication workspace (inventory organization, stocking, and expiration awareness)
- Mentor and support staff as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong comfort level with pharmacology, dose calculations, and prescription workflows
- Experience and confidence in handling injectable medications for inpatient treatment plans
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritize under pressure
- Clear communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Veterinary technician experience preferred; credentials (CVT/RVT/LVT) are a plus
Schedule Expectations
- Primary shift is 12:00 PM–8:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- This role also includes holiday coverage and on-call shifts as part of the pharmacy support rotation
