Summary of the Opportunity

This is a hands-on technician role supporting chemical manufacturing operations through execution of non-standard batch recipes, equipment preventive maintenance, and process experimentation. The position works closely with Engineering and Production teams to troubleshoot issues, maintain equipment reliability, and ensure safe, efficient operations. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced chemical processing technician who enjoys working directly with equipment, training operators, and contributing to continuous improvement on the production floor.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute non-standard batch recipes in collaboration with technical and engineering staff

  • Work with Engineers to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to address complex production issues

  • Independently perform preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration on production equipment in a timely manner

  • Independently execute and coordinate experiments to optimize production process parameters

  • Create, update, and maintain Operations Manual documentation

  • Participate in and support the plant quality improvement program

  • Assist Engineers in troubleshooting production issues and customer quality concerns related to products

  • Train chemical operators on developing and evolving operations

  • Serve as the owner of the maintenance software and collaborate with the Materials group to schedule equipment preventive maintenance

  • Provide recommendations to management to improve role effectiveness and work processes

  • Work safely by following all safety rules, policies, and procedures; identify and report unsafe conditions or actions to a supervisor

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • More than 7 years of hands-on experience with chemical processing equipment, including pumps, agitators, vessels, and filter canisters

  • Strong analytical skills related to semiconductor chemical processing

  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office, databases, and preventive maintenance (PM) software

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Typical Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Overtime and weekend work as required

Physical Demands

  • Sitting approximately 30–40% of the day while executing non-standard batch recipes and analyzing data

  • Supporting maintenance activities involving equipment or facility tasks; required use of safety glasses, cleanroom smocks, hard caps, and other PPE depending on batch charge location

  • Occasional work in temperature-controlled rooms (–15°C and 5°C) to retrieve samples

  • Walking to formulation areas to perform unique requests or special work instructions

  • Visiting various manufacturing areas (e.g., analytical labs, packaging, formulation) to coordinate experiments, inspect production irregularities, and verify procedure compliance

Pay Range (California):
Pursuant to California law, the pay range for this position is $25.00 to $35 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
