Job Description

Electrical Foreman (Commercial / Industrial)

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead crews on commercial and industrial construction projects. If you’re a hands-on leader who knows how to run work, keep jobs safe, and drive productivity without cutting corners, this role is for you.

This position oversees daily field operations, coordinates labor and materials, and works closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and up to code.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)

  • Lead, direct, and support electrical field crews on active job sites
  • Handle crew orientation, timekeeping, daily reports, safety documentation, accident reports, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Serve as (or support) the Site Safety Representative and enforce OSHA and company safety standards
  • Plan and execute work using the bid estimate as a guide—finding the most efficient and profitable way to get the job done
  • Perform construction take-offs and job planning to manage labor and materials effectively
  • Order, track, and coordinate delivery of materials to meet the project schedule
  • Partner with Fabrication teams to maximize prefabrication opportunities and reduce field labor costs
  • Maintain productivity, quality, and craftsmanship while meeting deadlines
  • Maintain required personal tools and operate a specialized electrical service vehicle safely
  • Set the tone for professionalism, teamwork, and accountability on site
  • Follow all company policies, safety manuals, and procedures—and hold your crew to the same standard
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support project success

Projects You’ll Work On

  • Commercial new construction and renovations (offices, retail, healthcare, education)
  • Industrial facilities such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers
  • Electrical installations including power distribution, lighting, panels, switchgear, and motor controls
  • Electrical upgrades, expansions, and retrofits

What We’re Looking For (Must-Have)

  • 6+ years of electrical experience (commercial or industrial preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
  • Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification (required)
  • CPR and First Aid training
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain a specialized electrical service vehicle
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and high-quality work
  • Professional appearance and conduct on job sites

Nice to Have

  • Master Electrician license
  • Previous foreman or supervisory experience
  • Additional safety or leadership certifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Journeyman Electrician status or completion of an Apprenticeship Program (preferred)
