We're looking for an energetic and customer-focused Order Support Specialist to support multiple Account Managers and play a key role in ensuring our clients receive an exceptional experience. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating with others, and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and strong communication. This role is near Davisburg, MI.

What You'll Do
  • Act as a dedicated advocate for customers, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from order entry to delivery.
  • Respond to phone, email, and fax inquiries promptly in alignment with our internal 2-hour callback standard.
  • Enter and process sales orders accurately while following detailed work instructions.
  • Support 2-3 Account Managers by managing their customer transactions and daily workflow.
  • Prepare and manage external reporting to ensure orders are entered, shipped, and invoiced within required timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across customer accounts, Sales, Purchasing, and other internal partners.
  • Review customer inventory, account folders, and sales reports to monitor stock levels, on-time deliveries, and improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee custom stock, blanket purchase orders, and consignment inventory to prevent shortages and reduce aging inventory risks.
  • Coordinate freight consolidation efforts and partner with Sales to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Issue documentation for returns, credits, and debit memos promptly.
  • Request and collect all necessary order documentation to ensure processing within 48 hours.
  • Provide backup support to other team members during absences.
  • Participate in departmental projects, training sessions, and best-practice discussions.
  • Contribute ideas for improving processes, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
  • Log customer concerns or product issues and route them to the Quality team.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of the company's full product portfolio and customer-specific nuances.
Who You Are

  • Strong problem solver with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Able to manage high-volume email traffic (100-200 emails/day) while staying organized and responsive.
  • Excellent communication skills-written and verbal.
  • Self-directed, team-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills Required
  • 2+ years in a customer service or order-processing environment (handling purchase orders, resolving customer issues, high-volume email).
  • ERP system experience is required (SAP or similar preferred; willing to train on P21/Epicor).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency-Outlook, Excel, Teams, and related tools.
  • Strong professional communication skills.
  • Automotive or distribution industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Not a call center role; while phone communication is important, most customer contact is email-based.
  • No degree required.
Nice to Have
  • Previous experience with Epicor P21 or other modern ERP systems.
Pay Details: $49,000.00 to $59,000.00 per year
