Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to support surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. This role is strictly a technical position and does not include charting or medication administration responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform surgical first assist duties across multiple service lines
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to all surgical safety protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrumentation, exposure, and closure
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient case flow
- Follow all facility policies and regulatory standards
- Monday – Friday
- Day shifts
- 4 x 10-hour shifts
- Call required
- No floating required
- 6 Operating Rooms
- Scrubs provided
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience required
- Surgical First Assist experience required
Certifications
- Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) via NBSTSA – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA required
- Proof of CSFA certification
- Proof of BLS (AHA) certification
- Confirmation of 2+ years of Surgical Tech experience
