Position: Project Manager – Commercial Construction – Mid-Market Specialist
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
About the Opportunity:
Founded in 1989, we are a West Michigan-based construction company staffed with professionals passionate about building. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who has and who can manage a diverse portfolio of 2-3 concurrent projects in the mid market size range.
This role is for a seasoned professional who values a collaborative team environment but possesses the autonomy to lead multiple jobs from inception to completion.
Primary Responsibilities:
Multi-Project Leadership: Autonomously manage 2-3 concurrent mid-market projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and under budget.
Full-Cycle Execution: Lead preconstruction, buyout, and subcontract negotiations with minimal oversight.
Financial Accountability: Monitor project P&L, manage change orders, and provide leadership in risk evaluation.
Team Synergy: Work closely with Field Superintendents to ensure accuracy and safety standards (MIOSHA) are met on every site.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of proven commercial project management experience.
Capability: Documented success in managing a high volume of small-to-mid market projects simultaneously.
Technical: Mastery of Procore, Excel, and MS Project is required.
Credential: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
