Job Summary:
Under the direction of, and reporting to the Branch Manager, Warehouse Support is responsible a wide variety of duties related to our gases, equipment, and supplies. This position receives in inventory from freight trucks and handles the product from delivery to stocking in our warehouse as well as back up customer service duties as requested.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving Operations
- Handle incoming and outgoing freight, verifying packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Load and unload transfer trucks, inspect shipments for damage, and communicate discrepancies to supervisors or purchasing.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve order or invoice issues.
Warehouse and Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stocking levels and organized warehouse inventory.
- Perform cycle counts, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment using the bin location system.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation of products and cylinders.
Facility and Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization, including seasonal interior and exterior upkeep.
- Set up new and used equipment for sale or delivery.
- Support a safe and efficient workplace through regular inspection, cleaning, and maintenance activities
Customer Advocacy and Personal Relationship Management
- Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for the customer and employee ensuring needs are met and concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
- Balance and support the organization with PTO management and scheduling in advance to mitigate business disruption
Preferred Qualifications:
Education, Experience and Certifications
- High School degree or equivalent, preferred.
- 1-2 years of industry experience, preferred.
- Forklift Certification
- High level of ethics, honesty, and transparency
- Must possess excellent analytic, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with respect to CM2 operations, ownership, internally and externally.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software, and standard business equipment (phone, computer, copier/scanner etc.).
Work Conditions:
- Must be ablet to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Adhere and comply with all DOT, Hazmat, and safety regulations.
- Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability.
- Adhere to all proper safety standards and regulations including wearing proper protective equipment and gear as it relates to the job.
- Detailed knowledge of state and local laws governing operation of motor vehicles on highways and city streets including obeying all traffic laws.
- Able to manage the driving schedule and to plan and prepare ahead.
