SHIFT DETAILS:
Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm
POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector is primarily for the following:
Perform inspection of parts and perform calibrations to ensure conformance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Report any potential product or process deviation or non conformance per QMS requirements to Leads and the Quality team.
• Inspect parts and perform calibrations to ensure conformance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with and perform floor audits.
• Operate, calibrate, and assist with maintenance of vision and inspection equipment
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate, complete records.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to confirm operations meet production standards.
• Ensure quality activities align with the production schedule.
• Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
• Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond receiving instructions. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Represent the company, as required, during customer audits, internal audits, ISO audits, and FDA inspections.
• Cross train and assist other operational departments to support the production schedule as needed.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with strong emphasis on safety.
• Train and mentor other employees in quality procedures, inspection methods, and equipment use as assigned.
• Identify and recommend improvements within the Quality System or production processes.
• Perform accurate data entry and review documentation for completeness and correctness.
• Execute high quality work while following all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
• Understand the sensitivity of the data managed by systems under your control and take appropriate measures to protect it.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• EDUCATION: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Associate degree, vocational training, or equivalent training/experience preferred, but not required.
• EXPERIENCE: 2+ year(s) relevant quality experience or training or demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position. Internships and PT experience acceptable. Experience within a manufacturing, medical device company or other similarly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/ REGISTRATIONS: Industry recognized Quality certification(s) preferred, but not required.
