Kinetic Design + Development is looking for a Design Intern to join the Krew. If you’re a design student who thrives in both the creative and technical sides of the process, this role is for you.
This internship is all about hands-on learning. You’ll support our project teams while gaining real-world experience in architectural and interior design, detailing, modeling, and rendering. From concept work to construction documentation, you’ll be exposed to the full design process and see how ideas turn into built environments. Your work helps move projects forward, and your curiosity helps shape your growth.

What You’ll Do
- Support architects and designers with architectural and interior design tasks
- Develop models, drawings, and renderings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Lumion
- Assist with schematic and design development level client presentations
- Pick up and apply detailed redlines with accuracy
- Set up sheets, views, schedules, and standard notes
- Model existing conditions and simple proposed construction
- Prepare models for renderings and visual presentations
- Participate in simple design exercises such as plan layouts
- Attend client meetings, take notes, and assist with meeting preparation
- Conduct site visits and take field measurements under supervision
- Research building codes, zoning requirements, and regulations
- Support material library organization, sample ordering, and pricing updates
- Schedule rep meetings and assist lead designers as needed
- Adhere to all aspects of Kinetic’s HR handbook
Tools You’ll Use
- Revit, AutoCAD
- Lumion
- Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in progress from a NAAB accredited architecture program or an interior design or interior architecture program
- Architecture students in their 4th or 5th year of a 5 year program or at least the 2nd year of a 3 year accelerated master’s program
- Interior design students in their 3rd or 4th year of a 4+ year bachelor’s or master’s program
- Familiarity with construction drawings and the design process
- Basic working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset
- Professionalism, punctuality, and eagerness to learn
