Reports To: Home Care Service Manager and/or Supervisor
Status: Part-time, variable hours (up to 29 hours per week)
At Waypoint, we support individuals in living safely and independently in their own homes. We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Personal Care Service Provider II (PCSP II) professionals to join our Home Care Services team.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on caregiving and building meaningful relationships with clients. As a PCSP II, you will support clients who are able to direct their own care while providing essential assistance with daily living activities in a respectful, client-centered manner.
Key Responsibilities
PCSP IIs provide direct, hands-on personal care to clients, including but not limited to:
Assisting with ambulation and safe mobility
Hands-on support with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
Fall prevention and safety monitoring within the home
Assistance with transfers and mobility supports
Supporting dignity, comfort, and independence during personal care tasks
Light household tasks related to client care
Observing and reporting changes in client condition to the care team
This position requires comfort with physical caregiving and the ability to provide care in a calm, respectful, and professional manner.
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months experience in a home care, personal care, or similar setting (experience with older adults or individuals with disabilities preferred)
High school education preferred (may be waived based on relevant experience)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance ($50,000/$100,000 minimum)
Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks and a pre-employment physical, including TB screening
Completion of required onboarding, competency training, and on-site training (OST) with the nurse manager
Smartphone with GPS capability for electronic visit verification
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and stair navigation
