Overview
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Automotive Porter to support our service department by keeping vehicles, work areas, and customer-facing spaces safe, clean, and well organized. This role plays a key part in daily service operations and directly contributes to a positive customer experience.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a team, and taking pride in maintaining a clean and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner and assist during vehicle drop-off and pickup
- Safely move, park, and stage customer vehicles within the service lot only
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service drive, parking areas, and shop walkways
- Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and keeping restrooms and service areas presentable
- Assist with light vehicle cleaning or touch-ups after services are completed
- Transport parts, tools, and materials within the facility as needed
- Lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Support technicians and service advisors with vehicle staging and general operational needs
- Assist with light facility maintenance and other duties as assigned to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to safely operate customer vehicles, including manual transmissions (preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude
- Previous experience in a dealership, service, porter, or custodial role is helpful but not required
