Explorers Learning Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching young children, maintaining high classroom standards, and supporting a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool-aged children
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing and Texas Rising Star standards
- Conduct classroom observations, assessments, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress
- Supervise and collaborate with assistant teachers
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
Qualifications:
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a preschool classroom
- Knowledge of early childhood development and classroom management
- Familiarity with Texas Rising Star standards preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check
