 This machine operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the robotics laser drill line to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This role requires strong technical aptitude, hands-on experience with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate laser robotic drilling systems to perform precise drilling operations on steel pipes.
  • Use HMI systems to control, monitor, and adjust machine operations and process parameters. 
  • Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor mechanical adjustments as needed
  • New part number changing over and setting up.
  • Perform quality checks using inspection tools (calipers, gauges, measuring tape, and microscopes) to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production work orders.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety policies.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and report malfunctions to maintenance or engineering.
  • Record production data and complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to continuously improve processes and machine performance.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Create "Lesson Learned" cards or documentation whenever a problem is solved to capture corrective actions and help reduce future downtime.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and usage, ensuring critical components are available to prevent production line stoppages due to part shortage
  • Take ownership of daily production output and defect rate, ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required, and technical or vocational training in manufacturing a plus.
  • HMI (Human-Machine Interface) experience is required. 
  • 1–3 years of experience in a production, CNC, or robotic equipment operation role preferred.
  • Familiarity with automated manufacturing systems or laser drilling machinery is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic understanding of machine programming is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
