American Traveler is seeking a licensed RN for a Med/Surg Nights position at a community hospital in Maine, requiring an active ME or compact RN license along with BLS/ACLS certifications.

  • Adult med/surg unit in a community hospital setting

  • Three 12-hour night shifts per week

Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license in the State of Maine or a compact license currently in hand
  • \n
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • \n
  • Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required
  • \n
  • Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
  • \n
  • Ability to function independently
  • \n

  • Directs and coordinates patient care team members to deliver individualized, quality care consistent with Maine State standards
  • \n
  • Develops patient care plans in collaboration with physicians, other care team members, the patient, and family as applicable
  • \n
  • Applies the nursing process — assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation — across patient age groups including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
  • \n
  • Promotes teamwork with medical staff and hospital personnel and adheres to hospital policies including confidentiality, advance directives, and ADA compliance
