PICU Registered Nurse - 3x12-Hour Night Shift

Assignment Duration\nThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule\nNight Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend requirements.
Job Description\nWe are seeking a dedicated PICU Registered Nurse with expertise in pediatric critical care to provide exceptional care for infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and experience in cardiac care.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients. \n
- Monitor and document patients' conditions and assessments through EPIC charting. \n
- Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapy, insulin, and antiarrhythmic drugs. \n
- Manage airway and ventilation settings, including BiPAP and ventilator care. \n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. \n
- Support families and provide education regarding their child’s condition and care plan. \n
- Participate in specialty procedures, ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols. \n

- Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission. \n
- Minimum of 2+ years in PICU critical care nursing with at least 1 year of cardiac experience. \n
- Current certifications: BLS, PALS; NRP preferred. \n
- Experience with congenital heart disease management and post-operative cardiac care. \n
- Proficiency in IV therapy, respiratory management, hemodynamic monitoring, and pediatric dosage calculations. \n
