Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse settings. Duties
· Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing issues.
· Develop and implement tailored therapy plans based on individual needs, including early intervention strategies for pediatric populations.
· Provide engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve communication skills and swallowing safety.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as physicians, educators, and occupational therapists to coordinate patient care.
· Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
· Educate patients and their families about communication strategies, exercises, and home programs to reinforce therapy goals.
· Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices, physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and anatomy to ensure the highest quality of care.
Requirements:· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
· Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction.
· Prior school experience or pediatric experience is highly preferred.
· Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions.
· Experience conducting patient assessments and developing effective treatment plans.
· Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech therapy practice.
· Passion for working with children and providing early intervention services is a plus.
