Job Summary

Staffworks Group is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician in Rochester, NY for a permanent, full-time position supporting a high-production manufacturing facility. This role focuses on the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of industrial electrical systems, including production machinery, automation equipment, and facility electrical infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, control panels, motor drives, and industrial machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on manufacturing machinery and automated production lines
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
• Wire, maintain, and troubleshoot control panels, PLC systems, VFDs, motor starters, and drives
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and facility equipment
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and plant safety standards
• Work closely with maintenance and production teams to reduce downtime
• Support new equipment installations and facility electrical upgrades
• Maintain accurate documentation of electrical repairs and maintenance activities

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial electrician or manufacturing electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, motor controls, and automation
• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Allen Bradley or similar preferred)
• Hands-on experience with VFDs, control wiring, and panel building
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and lockout/tagout procedures
• Ability to work at heights and in industrial manufacturing environments
• Must supply own basic hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification
• Experience in heavy industrial or automated manufacturing facilities
• Mechanical troubleshooting or maintenance experience
• Lift or forklift certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in loud, fast-paced industrial environments
