Medical Assistant – Full-Time

Location: Cumming, GA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Job Summary


We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support to an assigned provider. This role is essential in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate EMR documentation, and high-quality patient communication. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a fast-paced clinical environment.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform patient clinical triage, update medical histories, obtain vital signs, and document the history of present illness
  • Prepare clinical charts in advance, ensuring all lab results and diagnostic reports are available
  • Manage all patient and provider messages, including EMR documentation and daily patient communications
  • Handle all incoming patient phone calls and clinical inquiries
  • Coordinate and communicate care instructions, including diagnostic preparation, treatment plans, dietary recommendations, and test follow-ups
  • Process medication refills, prior authorizations, and medication-related communications
  • Perform clinical procedures such as video capsule endoscopy (VCE) and phlebotomy
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Travel to satellite offices as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of EMR systems and clinical documentation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of patient interactions
  • Professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented approach to patient care
  • Phlebotomy experience required; VCE experience a plus
