Production Assistant 1st shift

An international plant-based manufacturing company is seeking a first shift Production Assistant who will help the production manager.

• $19/hr. Plus full benefits
• 1st shift

            Tuesday – Saturday 06:00 a.m. – 03:00 p.m.

• Somerset, NJ

Requirements of the Production Assistant:

• Experience in working in a production environment, preferably in food manufacturing, but open to others
• HS Degree or equivalent required
• Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move, and handle equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
• Able to communicate, read, and understand in English
• Knowledge of the applicable processes and related equipment

Responsibilities of the Production Assistant:

• Monitor production lines and GMP areas and report issues to the supervisor
• Log line stops and losses via Teams
• Contact Maintenance or QC as needed
• Follow SOPs, SSOPs, and company policies
• Flag noncompliance and unusual data in records
• Support training for new line workers
• Keep workspace clean and safe
• Enter and manage production data
• Ensure daily production goals are met

Schedule: 1st shift Tuesday – Saturday 06:00 a.m. – 03:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday off
