JOB SUMMARY
If you enjoy variety, independence, and hands‐on troubleshooting, this role offers all of it. As an Engineering & Quality Technician, you’ll be the go‐to expert in the field—diagnosing issues, supporting customers, and ensuring our equipment performs flawlessly in real‐world conditions. You’ll also work closely with engineering and R&D to improve and test new products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Become an expert in PSS products and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electro‐mechanical equipment in the field
- Support customer demos and on‐site service calls
- Assist QC with inspections
- Document processes and support production improvements
- Train teams on maintenance and preventative care
- Assist with in‐house mechanical and electrical tasks
- Build and test prototypes with R&D
- Visit vendors to support technical progress
- Maintain accurate records and communicate issues promptly
- Represent PSS with professionalism
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent; or 1–2 years of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment
- Customer‐focused mindset with solid communication skills for building relationships, presenting ideas, and resolving issues collaboratively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company systems and software
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities
- Effective time‐management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple or competing demands
- High energy and a sense of urgency when responding to internal and external customer needs
- Demonstrated personal and professional integrity
- Valid powered‐equipment operator’s license (or ability to obtain one)
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and reports
- Communication, math, and reasoning skills are necessary to perform the role effectively
This is an on-site position that may require intermittent travel up to 25% of the time, with short notice to meet customer needs. Employment with us is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
