Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide therapeutic support to clients in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively with the clinical team to deliver high-quality mental health care. This position is ideal for an associate-level therapist who is passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to recovery and personal growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions as assigned by the Clinical Director.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients as needed.
  • Document all client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment within the residential facility.
  • Stay informed on best practices, evidence-based therapies, and relevant regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Active associate licensure (e.g., AMFT, APCC, ASW) in CA.
  • Proficient in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work part-time, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with specific populations (e.g., substance use disorder, mental health, individuals with co-occurring disorders).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. - KIPU is preferred
