Mold Setter - 2nd Shift

We are currently seeking a mold setter on 2nd shift to join our Sterling Heights team, offering opportunities to apply your skills in a collaborative and safe environment across all shifts. Key responsibilities include:

• Executing scheduled mold/die changes on presses ranging from 500 to 3300 tons
• Ensuring timely completion of all scheduled and emergency mold changes
• Expertly setting up molds and related functions, including watering, knockout, hot runner setup, and hydraulics
• Setting parameters of molding presses according to process verification sheets
• Addressing fluid or air leaks related to molds
• Conducting mold pulling and resetting for repairs
• Active participation in and completion of WCM Project assignments
• Loading and unloading mold-carrying trucks
• Installing and removing auxiliary equipment from the molding floor
• Maintaining organization in the mold storage areas and setting supplies
• Completing all paperwork accurately and on time, in line with company procedures
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, both internal and OSHA-mandated
• Upholding high standards of housekeeping
• Ideal candidates should possess:
• A High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding mold setting
• A strong commitment to safety
• Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record
• Solid mechanical aptitude
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently
• A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to embrace new processes
• Proficiency in operating powered lift equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and cranes
