GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: To surpass the expectation of every guest by ensuring world-class service is provided through friendly, courteous and professional encounters while supervising the Retail Sales floor and Essentially Seattle. To maintain and improve the daily operation at each location, while motivating the sales team to achieve budgeted sales and per cap goals.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Promote the Space Needle culture by offering World Class service to both the internal and external guests.
  • Execution of daily operational procedures which includes but not limited to facilitating all opening and closing procedures, sale projections and plans.
  • Ability to work in a team environment which will include hourly team members, management staff, directors and administrative representatives.
  • Provide lateral support to management team to all Space Needle departments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Space Needle policies and procedures (customer service, standards, dress code, etc.) with the ability to effectively ensure the daily execution thereof by front line team members.
  • Achieve daily sales goals and ensure budgeted labor hours are met and not exceeded.
  • In-depth knowledge of Point of Sales procedures with the ability to train team members.
  • Maintain a visual presence on the sales floor by performing figure 8’s throughout all departments to ensure store standards are upheld.
  • Ensure team members takes ownership and accountability for fulfilling the Space Needle Mission Statement.
  • Effective and timely communication with Management team.
  • Lead by example by role modeling Space Needle non-negotiable standards
  • Open availability to work nights and weekends or when scheduled.
  • Prepare and organize the store for physical inventory according to procedures.
  • Provide input for Team Members 90-day reviews.
  • Handle Guest complaints and respond to their needs, notify Management immediately.
  • Open to new innovative ways to improve Guest Services Skills.
  • Any other responsibilities as defined by management.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Fire, Life, and Safety procedures.
  • Certified in first aid, CPR and AED on an annual basis and ability to respond in an emergency.
  • Documentation of incidents and accidents/ Supervisor Action for verbal reprimands.
  • Authorize shop coverage and changes in emergency situations.
  • Provide lateral support to other departments, as necessary.
  • Support employee recognition program.
  • Maintain the highest level of professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours in response to business demands.
  • Effective communication with Management Staff.
  • Attend all training and development classes provided by the Space Needle.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Retail and/or Supervisory experience in a fast pace, high volume location
  • Dependable, Reliable and Flexible
  • Computer Savvy (Words, Excel, Outlook)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate a “Guest First” attitude.
  • Proven cash handling skills
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk or stand for an entire shift.

Full Time, Hourly Position

Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $26.10 / hour
