Job Description
• The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the Safety, Quality, Production, and Cost performance within their area of ownership of the manufacturing process
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment & processes used in the production of medical device and consumer product finished goods.
• Ownership of Manufacturing Systems and Processes to support the Manufacturing Operation.
• Responsible for the safety of all technicians.
• Drive culture that reflects the Company’s Safety Values in all daily work.
• Operate in compliance with all Safe Practices & SOP’s.
• Responsible for delivering all Product Quality Requirements and defined for Class 1 Medical Devices.
• Completion and adherence to all Quality SOP’s and GMP’s.
• Maintain and cultivate a Quality-focused culture in a manufacturing environment.
• Meet or exceed Business Performance Targets for Production, Process Reliability, & Scrap.
• Lead and/or Execute Improvement Projects to eliminate losses with the Operation.
• Execute Skill Training and Qualification Plans to meet TeamTechnical Mastery & System Ownership needs.
• Other duties as deemed necessary
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for Success:
Manufacturing Experience preferred.
Working Experience of Loss Elimination Methodolies preferred (TPM, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, OEE, etc.).
Collaboration skills – must be able to work effectively in a highly diverse, global, multi-functional environment.
High Capacity & Self-directed: Able to balance multiple tasks and priorities with thorough follow-through.
Strong Communication & Writing Skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Strong analytical skills: Able to understand problems thoroughly and to identify root causes and solutions.
Creative problem-solving skills: Able to reapply existing solutions to new business scenarios to enable standardization.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse/manufacture setting.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
