Warehouse Technician – Product Transfer (Driver)
Compensation: $19.00-23.50/hr + triannual profit-sharing bonuses!
Location: Minneapolis, KS

As the Warehouse Technician – Product Transfer, the winning candidate will become responsible for ensuring the successful transfer of product between Huyett between the two primary Minneapolis, KS Corporate facilities. This individual works closely with all Warehouse Operations teams; namely, inventory control, packaging, and receiving to ensure all Warehouse workflows contingent upon the successful transfer of products is completed in accurate, complete, and timely manner. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:


  • Ensure inventory is moved and placed in the appropriate location to support warehouse/packaging operations, between multiple facilities in accurate, complete, and timely manner.
  • Operate powered equipment and Company-Provided over-the-road (non-CDL) vehicles as available and assigned to execute product-transfer tasks. Including but not limited to flatbed or box trucks, both manual and automatic.
  • Resolve inventory kickouts and discrepancies as needed, namely for “critical” same-day ship orders.
  • Proactively retrieve inventory on sales orders, ensuring inventory “kickouts” are minimized.
  • Effectively communicate with other staff, namely: Warehouse Technician counterpart(s), Packaging, Receiving, Shipping, Customer Service and Manufacturing in a customer-oriented manner to ensure the successful and safe transfer of materials. This includes both oral and written/typed communications as applicable.
  • Establish and maintain a routine for daily/weekly work that allows time to put-away product.
  • Utilize Supplemental, P21, and OSMS to gather useful data to identify inventory to be transported to alternative facilities/locations to support secondary processes, production orders, or sales orders.
  • Complete all functions a safe, efficient, and compliant-manner cognizant of Company policy, local traffic laws, and “6-S”/LEAN principles of effective processing.
  • Complete other duties to support effective Warehouse/Packaging operations as assigned.


Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience working within Huyett distribution operations.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with stakeholders on completion of tasks in a self-directed manner.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment.


Work Environment: This is a manufacturing plant environment.  Exposure to high temperatures, moving machinery, moving equipment, heights and confined spaces.
