Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance and reliability of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, contributing to our commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Troubleshoot HVAC issues by interpreting schematics and utilizing diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Refrigeration) systems to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored solutions for air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose problems, perform repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Utilize welding techniques as necessary for equipment repair or installation.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Assist in the design of HVAC systems to meet specific requirements while adhering to industry standards.
- Provide support in plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations or repairs as needed.
- Engage in ongoing training to stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, and plumbing.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams related to HVAC design.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for field service responsibilities.
- Experience in appliance repair is advantageous.
- Knowledge of property maintenance practices related to HVAC systems.
