Sr. Roofing Technician - Steep Slope

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Steep Slope Service Technician to join our team. This hands-on role is perfect for a highly skilled roofer who can manage complex and high-end steep slope roofing projects, mentor junior technicians, and ensure exceptional craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays

• Proven experience as a roofing technician or similar role, ideally 2+ years.

• Basic carpentry and construction knowledge

• Ability to lift 80#

• Ability to perform tasks that require climbing, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (others may be assigned)

• Lead installation, maintenance, and repairs of steep slope roofing systems, including slate, tile, copper, custom metal, and architectural roofs.

• Handle complex roof structures such as dormers, turrets, valleys, and multi-level pitches.

• Troubleshoot and resolve challenging roofing issues with advanced problem-solving skills.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.

• Communicate with clients regarding roof condition, repair/replacement options, and project updates.

• Conduct detailed inspections and provide thorough service reports.

• Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, safety protocols, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in roofing is a plus.

• Ability to work in a team or independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• OSHA 10, First Aid certified
