Job Title: Manufacturing Operator
Job Description
Join our team as a Manufacturing Operator where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and quality operation of our packaging line equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining product standards and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and clear packaging line equipment and ancillary support equipment to meet efficiency expectations.
- Replenish packaging materials including wrapping paper, plastic sheets, boxes, cartons, and labeling systems with ink, glue, and paper.
- Inspect in-process packaging to ensure consistent quality and remove defective products and packaging material.
- Segregate finished packaged items from machine that conform to specification and separate rejected items.
- Conduct inventory count on finished and rejected packaged items.
- Monitor packaging and filling operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products according to standards.
- Monitor the packaging production line to prevent potential bottlenecks, pile-ups, jams, glue issues, or label misplacement.
- Emphasize meeting production standards, achieving product quality standards, and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.
- Know and follow GMP practices, safe work habits, plant dress code, hygiene standards, and housekeeping requirements.
- Perform light-duty maintenance work and general housekeeping in area and assist maintenance or other team members.
- Comply with all workplace standards and safety procedures.
- Perform equipment setup and changeover activities to safely reduce equipment setup and changeover times.
- Establish equipment operating parameters to maximize production while meeting all product specifications.
- Complete, maintain, and update production documentation (electronic and paper) to perform material movements, material take-outs and yield determinations by following SOPs.
- Take ownership of training and learning to develop high-performance competencies such as technical skills, communication skills, and skills to build a team-oriented culture.
Essential Skills
- Experience with packaging machinery and production lines.
- Adept ability to document requirements and production details.
- Knowledge of GMP practices and safe work habits.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical experience is a plus, especially with USDA, FDA, and CGMP.
- Ability to work in a clean room facility.

Work Environment
Work in a clean room facility with temperature control. You will be provided with a Tyvek suit, hairnets, shoe covers, glasses, and gloves.
2 openings on 1st (6am - 2:30pm M-F) & 4 on 2nd (2pm-10:30pm M-F) & 3 on 3rd (10:00pm-6:30am, Sun-Th)
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
