About CXG

CXG builds and operates broker-dealers registered with FINRA and the SEC. We help financial firms launch faster, stay compliant, and operate efficiently in a highly regulated environment. We are exploring how AI can be responsibly integrated into compliance, operations, and internal workflows.

Why This Role Exists

We are exploring an early AI hire to help us evaluate, prototype, and potentially build AI-powered tools within a regulated business.

This role is intentionally open-ended. We want to meet people who are excited about applied AI, understand practical trade-offs, and are interested in building useful tools not hype projects.

What You Might Work On

Depending on fit and timing, projects could include:

• Prototyping an internal AI assistant using compliance documentation
• Exploring AI tools to review client onboarding materials
• Drafting first-pass narratives or internal summaries for human review
• Experimenting with safe, auditable AI workflows
  
  

These projects would start small and grow based on results.

What Were Looking For

• Experience with Python or JavaScript
• Hands-on use of modern AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Comfort working with documents, APIs, and structured data
• Curious, practical mindset focused on usefulness over novelty
• Interest in learning a complex, regulated business
  
  

Early-career candidates and recent graduates with strong projects are welcome.


Work Style & Location

This role benefits from in-person collaboration, especially early on.
Candidates local to Smithtown / Long Island who are open to a hybrid setup are preferred.
