POSITION SUMMARY The Refrigeration Assembler position is responsible for assembling refrigeration systems on air conditioning units using equipment such as pipe cutters, pipe benders, oxy-propane welding sets, flaring tools, taps, drills, in addition to any other equipment needed to perform the necessary tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform pressure and leak testing on own work.
  • Accurately and efficiently interpret drawings and sketches
  • Ensure good housekeeping of individual work area
  • Maintain a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.
  • Other assignments as designated by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Experienced in the assembly of industrial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, and the assembly of copper fittings by soldering.
  • Proficient ability in using, reading, and interpreting drawings and measuring scale or tape.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Computer skills: basic computer skills a plus.
  • First shift hours (Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm)

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CERTIFICATE AND/OR LICENSE - N/A _____________________________________

6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday
