Position Summary

The Mechanical Assembler partners with engineers, designers and managers to fit and assemble components according to blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches and knowledge of machine construct.

This position works with a small team and reports to the Assembly Supervisor and according to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as non-exempt.

What You’ll Be Doing as Mechanical Assembler

  • Reads and interprets manufacturing requirements, specifications, procedures, and statements of work, and provides recommendations and feedback to Management, engineers/designers, and account managers/project managers
  • Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
  • Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical assemblies and subassemblies to specifications using manual tools, electronic and pneumatic tooling which may include manual machining
  • Tests and inspects finished product to ensure conformance to manufacturing specifications and correct any defects
  • Function as an active member of the assembly team working with other assemblers and technicians
  • Responsible for maintaining a 5S work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations which includes communicating defective materials.

Required

  • Associates degree in manufacturing related discipline or a 2-year technical diploma
  • 1-2 years of mechanical assembly related work experience
  • General mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Reading and viewing mechanical drawings/blueprints or part drawings
  • Understanding and knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic controls
  • Interpersonal skills committed to the highest quality achievable with minimal supervision.

Preferred

  • 3 years of mechanical knowledge or technologist program
  • Ability to interpret and/or manipulate 2D and 3D CAD drawings
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during periods of peak demand.

Compensation includes hourly base rate and performance-based quarterly profit sharing. The salary range is $19 - $24 per hour. The listed range represent the full earning potential in this position. Starting salaries for well-qualified new hires are typically around the midpoint of the range. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent, and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed. Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Circuit Check. Employees (and their dependents in most plans) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, short- and long-term disability and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Employees are able to enroll in Circuit Check’s 401k plan, in which the Company will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution.
