CPA Tax Director – Raleigh Partner Firm
Location
This role is based in Raleigh, North Carolina and offers flexibility with client-facing needs.
Pay Range: $200K to $250K annually

As part of our continued expansion, we are investing in a Raleigh, North Carolina–based partner firm, and we are seeking an experienced Tax Director to lead and grow the tax practice. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape the future of the firm’s tax strategy, client service, and team development within our broader national platform.
Qualifications
- Active CPA license required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in business taxation, ideally with a Big 4, large national, or regional firm.
- Demonstrated success leading client engagements and growing a practice.
- Strong client relationship skills and a reputation for delivering exceptional service.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a growth-oriented environment.
- Must have experience with Individual High Net Tax returns and Business Entity Tax
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and expand the tax practice for the Raleigh partner firm, with responsibility for growth, client service, and team leadership.
- Deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to entrepreneurial businesses, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Drive practice growth through expansion of services to existing clients and proactive business development.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insight on complex tax issues and structuring opportunities.
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing tax team, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused culture.
- Work closely with leadership team and shared services functions to leverage technology, innovation, and best practices across the platform.
