About this job
Countertop / Cabinet Templater
Construction or Installer Background Strongly Preferred
Company Vehicle Provided
Location: Kinston, NC
This role is designed for someone who comes from the construction trades -- especially cabinet installers, countertop installers, or finish carpenters -- and understands how things actually get built in the field.
If you're the person who spots problems before install day and knows why walls, cabinets, and stone never line up perfectly, this is a natural next step.
Atlantic Stoneworks (25+ years serving Eastern NC) is hiring a field-based Templater to measure projects using modern laser templating equipment. You do not need prior templating or CAD experience -- we will train the right construction professional.
What You'll Do
- Measure kitchens and baths using laser templating equipment
- Apply real-world construction and installation knowledge to layouts
- Identify issues installers care about (out-of-square walls, tight reveals, overhangs)
- Confirm sink, faucet, and appliance details on-site
- Work independently with support from an experienced production team
- Represent a respected trade-driven company in customers' homes
This Role Is a Great Fit If You Have Experience As A:
- Countertop Installer
- Cabinet Installer
- Finish / Trim Carpenter
- Lead Installer or Construction Foreman
- Skilled Carpenter with layout experience
What We're Looking For
- Strong measuring skills
- Attention to detail -- mistakes cost money
- Professional communication with homeowners and builders
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to commute to Kinston, NC
Pay & Benefits
- $22-$28 per hour, based on experience
- Full-time, steady work
- Company vehicle provided
- No sales quotas or commission pressure
If you've worked construction and know that good installs start with good measurements, or If you're the installer who always says "this should've been measured better," we want to talk.
