Pain & Spine Specialists of Virginia is seeking a Primary Care Physician with pain management experience to join our established and growing practice in Harrisonburg, VA. Position Overview
The Primary Care Physician will play a key clinical leadership role within the practice. Responsibilities include overseeing prescribing for Nurse Practitioners, managing patient care, and collaborating closely with our Pain Management Physician on procedures and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat new and established patients in a pain management setting
- Provide follow-up care and longitudinal management of chronic pain patients
- Oversee and supervise prescribing for Nurse Practitioners in accordance with Florida regulations
- Collaborate with the Pain Management Physician on procedural planning, treatment strategies, and patient care coordination
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and documentation standards
- Participate in a team-based approach focused on safe, effective, and compassionate pain care
Qualifications
- MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine
- Experience in pain management required
- Active (or ability to obtain) Florida medical license
- DEA license in good standing
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
