Our Purpose is to Empower Members to Achieve Financial Success. The Teller is a detail‑oriented and member‑focused role responsible for delivering exceptional service while accurately and efficiently processing a wide range of financial transactions. As the face of the branch, the Teller plays a key role in creating positive member experiences and supporting the overall success of the branch.

 

You will learn how to be the expert to best serve our members:

  • Provide friendly, professional service to members in-person, by phone, and through digital channels.
  • Accurately handle member and non-member transactions.
  • Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
  • Understand and ensure compliance, regulations and reporting.
  • Assist with opening and/or closing the branch. 
  • Provide guidance and support on complex member inquiries, resolving escalated service issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Work operational Salesforce cases during periods of low branch activity, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of member requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and technology tools to deliver exceptional support.
  • Troubleshoot member online banking and digital service issues, providing clear guidance and solutions.

  • Assist with teller transactions and support staffing needs at other branch locations or the call center as required.
  • Participate in branch activities, table events, and community engagement opportunities to promote Elements Financial’s mission and values.

You will help grow the business:

  • Actively identify and refer opportunities to bankers and other business partners, including Commercial, Wealth Management and Mortgage leads.
  • Support promotions and campaigns by engaging members with transition statements designed to generate interest in speaking with a banker or partner.
  • Utilize transition statements to uncover member needs and connect them with appropriate experts.
  • Open new memberships and accounts in the absence of a banker, ensuring seamless member onboarding experience.
  • Collaborate across branch and operations teams to identify member needs, support branch goals, and contribute to the credit union’s growth and long‑term success.
  • Support the implementation of new products, services, and technology enhancements through feedback and training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous cash-handling or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to leverage skills, knowledge, and experience to invest in our community. 
  • Ability to foster an inclusive environment that promotes belonging.
  • A focus on respect and excellent service to both external and internal (team) members.
  • A proven track record of integrity with a demonstrated ability to build trust.

 

 Additional bonus compensation is earned in this role.
