CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Inspector to join our Aviation Team at a client site in Palm Beach, FL, where you will play a critical role in ensuring that aviation construction projects are constructed to the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to complex, impactful projects while mentoring junior staff and representing CHA with clients, contractors, and project partners.
What You'll Do::- Monitor construction of aviation projects to ensure full compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards
- Review drawings, submittals, and construction documents; verify materials, methods, and work sequences meet requirements
- Document field observations, measurements, and computations to determine acceptability of completed work and support progress payment verification
- Identify nonconforming work, evaluate proposed corrective measures, and recommend acceptance or rejection
- Coordinate daily with owners, contractors, and local authorities; serve as the primary on‑site contact for construction‑related issues
- Prepare clear daily reports, maintain accurate project records, and support QA testing, surveys, and constructability reviews
- Lead project meetings, guide administrative documentation, and mentor entry‑level inspectors to support successful project delivery
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of related construction observation experience required
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, contract documents, and industry standards with the ability to interpret client contracts
- Ability to work independently on complex projects as well as collaboratively within a team; willingness to guide entry level staff
- Excellent communication skills and strong mathematics skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license required; extensive travel may be required

Salary Range::$40.00 - $50.00
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
