Position Overview

QCH is seeking a Job Developer to join our Youth Workforce Division, which includes:

  • Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)
  • Work, Learn & Grow Employment Program (WLG)
  • Queens NDA Opportunity Youth Program
  • Queens Connect Young Adult Food Sector Employment Initiative (YAFSEI)

Under the supervision of the Youth Workforce Division Director, the Job Developer will support youth ages 14–24 through work‑readiness training, career exploration, and employer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and enroll youth participants into employment opportunities
  • Build, maintain, and expand a job bank and hiring opportunity dashboard
  • Monitor workforce trends and employer needs
  • Conduct career assessments and facilitate monthly job retention clubs
  • Support participants in developing professional skills, attitudes, and workplace behavior
  • Assist youth in setting and achieving career and educational goals
  • Complete required documentation, data entry, and reporting
  • Conduct employer worksite visits to monitor participant progress and work environment
  • Facilitate orientations, service learning sessions, and workshops
  • Provide additional program support and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, Social Work, Human Resources, or related field preferred
    (Relevant experience may substitute for education)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth, preferably in workforce development
  • Employer engagement, sales, or business outreach experience a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience facilitating workshops or training sessions preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $24.73

Work Schedule

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
