Location: Lynden, WA

Training Schedule (Minimum 4 weeks):
Day Shift: Monday�Friday, 7:00 AM � 3:30 PM

Permanent Schedule (after training):
Swing Shift: Monday�Friday, 2:30 PM � 11:00 PM

Lynden Door is hiring a Custodial Lead to support and coordinate facility cleaning and upkeep across our campus during swing shift. This is a hands-on working lead role � you�ll work alongside the team while helping guide daily operations, support training, and ensure our facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.

What You�ll Do

As a Custodial Lead, you will work on the floor while helping coordinate the team by:

  • Supporting daily cleaning operations for restrooms, lunchrooms, offices, tour areas, and common spaces

  • Providing leadership and direction to the swing shift cleaning team

  • Watching for safety hazards and communicating concerns promptly

  • Training team members and helping maintain consistent cleaning standards

  • Conducting one-on-one check-ins and supporting employee development

  • Coordinating restocking and management of cleaning, office, and lunchroom supplies

  • Supporting company events by helping plan cleaning coverage and labor needs

  • Overseeing use and basic upkeep of floor scrubbers and cleaning equipment

  • Maintaining and following standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency

  • Communicating regularly with leadership, including daily shift updates

  • Performing cleaning and facility work alongside the team as needed

What We�re Looking For

  • Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) perferred

  • Reliable, organized, and safety-mindet

  • Comfortable in a working lead role

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Willing to coach, train, and lead by example

  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proactive and solution-oriented

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in facilities, custodial, manufacturing, or warehouse environments preferred

  • Prior leadership or lead experience is a plus

  • Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel)

  • Ability to use cleaning equipment and carts safely

Physical Requirements

  • Often lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, or shifting up to 50 pounds

  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and repetitive motions involving knees, back, ankles, wrists, elbows, shoulders, and neck

  • Ability to stand for 8�9 hours per day

Compensation & Benefits

  • Wage: $22.25 and up � based on experience (Includes a $1.75 Swing Shift Premium) The swing shift premium begins after the four-week training period
