About the Opportunity The Global Expansion Intern will work within the Sales Team to support Driscoll’s Mission, Vision, and Values as the Fresh Berry Category Leader. In this role, the intern will answer phone calls and deliver extraordinary customer service to both internal and external customers. They will help organize and implement daily activities that support an efficient sales, accounting, marketing, and distribution process, while also coordinating special projects as needed. Through this experience, the Global Expansion Intern will gain valuable exposure to the Retail Industry, including the grower perspective and the full distribution channel processes. Responsibilities

·       Provides strong customer service to internal and external customers

·       Answers phone calls and processes them accordingly within Sales Group

·       Enters sales orders and verifies shipping information

·       Communicates pricing information to appropriate Customers with guidance from Sales Rep

·       Works with sales team to facilitate accounts receivables process

·       Assists with department special projects

·       Participates in job shadowing across departments

·       Protects Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information

·       Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and professional manner when interacting with growers, colleagues, suppliers, customers, and the broader business community.

·       Maintains a safe, organized, and professional work area.

    Candidate Profile

- This is an on‑site, four‑month internship based in Watsonville, CA, ideally running from May to September.

- A housing stipend is not available for this internship.

- We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time or in the future. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Requirements

•    Currently enrolled in a four year college or university, or a recent graduate within the past six months
•    Strong organizational and planning skills
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to be adaptable and flexible in a fast paced and continuously changing environment
•    Experience using basic information technologies including Microsoft Word and Excel
•    Dependable and reliable with strong interpersonal skills
•    Willingness to learn and take initiative
•    High attention to detail and strong observational skills
•    Process oriented with the ability to follow established procedures
•    California driver’s license and the ability to be covered under the company sponsored vehicle insurance program

Compensation

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. 

The hourly range estimated for this internship is: Freshman Junior to recent grad (Bachelor's level within 6 months of graduation): $18-$22
