Position Details:
Title: Inventory Control Associate
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have prior inventory and warehouse experience.
Schedule: 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 1:30am, Tuesday - Thursday, & 1:00pm - 11:30pm, Friday (4 days, 10-hour shifts).
Location: Gibbstown, NJ (08027)
Salary Range: $22.00 hourly, based on experience and qualifications. Plus, shift differential.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain an organized warehousing structure for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
- Optimize storage space by consolidating inventory and rearranging materials as needed.
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments, processing transfers between facilities, and organizing stock. Transport finished goods to shipping and prepare materials for transfer, including picking, pulling, and wrapping.
- Maintain inventory value and location integrity by ensuring all materials are put in their proper locations.
- Consolidate materials in the racks as needed.
- Weigh, count and determine stock locations for new items and enter item information into computer system.
- Investigate discrepancies
- Learn and utilize Dynamics D365 (ERP) daily, including:
- Ensure timely and accurate posting into the system for all inventory activities.
- Respond to personnel regarding stock inquiries.
- Perform cycle counts, transfers, item lookups and location tracking.
- Support inventory accuracy through proactive reconciliation and FIFO material usage, including documentation and investigation of discrepancies; recommend process improvements.
- Work with relevant departments to resolve issues related to incoming products or materials.
- Unload and process UPS, FedEx, Motor Carrier and any other deliveries received.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and operational (i.e. forklifts and pallet jacks).
- Keep warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Routinely work with hazardous chemicals and waste.
- Report building or equipment maintenance to Management as needed.
- Perform additional duties/tasks as needed or requested by management.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory control and shipping/receiving, preferably within a pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environment.
- Forklift operation experience (stand-up, sit-down, and reach truck).
- Experience with cycle counts, barcode scanning.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
- Basic mathematical skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide various units of measure.
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal) to understand and follow procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail with basic administrative skills i.e., processing paperwork, maintaining files, etc.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and numerical aptitude.
- Self-starter, strong initiative, dependable and capable of following through with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, independent or team-oriented environment.
- RF scanner. Scan location, part, quantity, scan location delivering to.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime, as needed.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with import/export activities and international/domestic shipping.
- Experience with Microsoft D365.
Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk; stand; sit; use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb; and frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs. In addition, may occasionally be required to maneuver and move 30 to 55-gallon drums and up to 450 pounds utilizing proper ergonomic handling equipment and/or the proper techniques. Manual dexterity required to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Ability to operate a forklift and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently. Visual and auditory ability to safely navigate a busy warehouse environment.
- Work Environment: This position is located in a manufacturing facility. Employees frequently work near moving mechanical equipment. Noise intensity level: moderate to loud. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, cold, dust, and dirt. Employees may work with hazardous contaminants. Employees must adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
