Speech Language Pathologist - Full-time

The Pearl Nursing Center of Rochester is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team. This role is perfect for an SLP who is passionate about helping residents regain communication skills, improve swallowing function, and enhance their overall quality of life in a supportive skilled nursing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing treatment plans.

• Provide direct therapy services to residents in both short-term rehab and long-term care settings.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident progress and care planning.

• Document all evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.

• Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility guidelines and standards.

Qualifications

• Active SLP license in New York (CCC-SLP preferred, CFY considered).

• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a plus but not required.

• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical reasoning skills.

• Passion for working with geriatric and rehab populations.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive therapy team.
