About the Internship:
The Engineering Intern will support the Engineering and Operations teams with projects focused on process improvement, efficiency, safety, and quality. This internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while contributing to real-world initiatives that support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Location: 851 Hemlock Road, Morgantown, PA
Duration: Approximately 13 weeks (May 18th – August 14th)
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
*Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide your own housing
Interns will support key company initiatives, with responsibilities that may include:
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for engineering projects
- Participate in time studies, workflow analysis, and standard work documentation
- Assist with layout changes, equipment evaluations, and process documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Safety
- Present project findings and recommendations to leadership at the conclusion of the internship
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related field)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with CAD or data visualization tools is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
