About the Internship:

The Research & Development Intern will provide critical support to the R&D team by assisting with the design, prototyping, and improvement of window systems and related equipment. This role will also collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to support the development of tools and fixtures aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and overall manufacturing performance. The internship offers hands-on experience in product development, design documentation, and manufacturing support.

Location: 851 Hemlock Road, Morgantown, PA
Duration:
Approximately 13 weeks (May 18th – August 14th)
Compensation:
$18.00 per hour

*Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide your own housing

Interns will support key company initiatives, with responsibilities that may include:

  • Support the development of new product offerings and modifications to existing product lines
  • Assist with the design, documentation, and improvement of fixtures and small tools used in manufacturing
  • Create and update engineering drawings and models using 2D and 3D design software
  • Support standardization of drawings, processes, and procedures using good documentation practices
  • Assist with prototyping, testing, and evaluation of new designs and equipment
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with 2D drawing software (AutoCAD) and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Fusion, or similar)
  • Ability and willingness to work hands-on in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
