Work Schedule: Full-time - 40 hours a week. 10 & 12 hour shifts available
Pay Range: $35 - $40/ Hour; depending on experience


Job Summary:

·       Conduct thorough assessments of residents’ respiratory status, including reviewing medical history and performing physical examinations.

·       Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on residents’ needs and established protocols.

·       Administer respiratory therapies including Acapella, Incentive Spirometry (IS), EZPAP, and Chest Physiotherapy (CPT) to promote optimal lung function and prevent complications.

·       Monitor residents’ responses to treatment and adjust care plans as necessary, in collaboration with the medical staff.

·       Educate residents and their families about respiratory health, treatment options, and best practices for managing respiratory conditions.

·       Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress notes in residents’ medical records.

·       Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and contribute to overall care strategies.

·       Ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of respiratory equipment, adhering to infection control protocols.

·       Stay current with best practices and advancements in respiratory therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.

 

Qualifications:

·       Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.

·       Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.

·       Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

·       Previous experience in a long-term care or nursing home setting is highly desirable.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.

·       Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team and independently.

·       Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation standards.
