ResponsibilitiesOur Customer Service Pharmacy Technician coordinates communication between pharmacy, providers and facilities while resolving prescription issues in a timely, efficient, courteous, responsive, reliable, and respectful manner.
This person will:
- Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies
- Take requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests
- Assist the pharmacist with facility and physician office communications
- Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician offices
- Utilize judgement in knowing when to escalate issues to the management level
- Utilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word
- Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- One year of previous experience with direct client communication - customer service
- Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Must have good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
- Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
