We are a multifaceted CPA firm that provides financial and tax planning to our business and personal clients by offering payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, and tax services. We have close relationships with financial advisors and family attorneys which enable us to provide a full array of services to our clients under one roof.
The Job
This position is responsible for maintaining payroll systems, collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records. Investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company, client and regulatory standards
What do we need you to do?
- Process payroll for all employees by using timesheets, leave requests, hourly wage rates and other possible adjustments.
- Manage tax and withholding records and deductions for all federal, state, local or other corporate taxes that affect payroll amounts.
- Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs.
- Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
- Prepare and process paychecks and direct deposits.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.)
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns.
- Perform account balance and payroll reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
- Prepare periodic payroll reports for review by management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for this position:
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years payroll processing experience
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Must inspire others and maintain a culture of transparency, integrity, and honesty in all aspects of your role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
