Explorers Learning Academy is seeking a caring, experienced Infant Lead Teacher to provide high-quality care and early learning experiences for infants in a nurturing and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a warm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate infant classroom

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support infant development

  • Ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing (HHSC) and Texas Rising Star standards

  • Maintain accurate daily reports, observations, and documentation

  • Follow safe sleep practices, feeding schedules, and hygiene procedures

  • Supervise and support assistant teachers in the classroom

  • Build positive relationships with families through consistent communication

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting

  • CDA, Associate’s, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred

  • Strong knowledge of infant development and care best practices

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Must pass background check and meet state staffing requirements
