Explorers Learning Academy is seeking a caring, experienced Infant Lead Teacher to provide high-quality care and early learning experiences for infants in a nurturing and safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a warm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate infant classroom
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support infant development
- Ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing (HHSC) and Texas Rising Star standards
- Maintain accurate daily reports, observations, and documentation
- Follow safe sleep practices, feeding schedules, and hygiene procedures
- Supervise and support assistant teachers in the classroom
- Build positive relationships with families through consistent communication
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
- CDA, Associate’s, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Strong knowledge of infant development and care best practices
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check and meet state staffing requirements
