About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a private family office and oversee high-level financial and investment operations. This is a hands-on, part-time position ideal for someone who enjoys managing diverse accounting functions, collaborating directly with ownership, and improving processes for multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and cash flow reports
Oversee cash management, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transfers
Monitor family investments in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and real estate
Collaborate with external investment advisors and CPAs for accurate reporting and compliance
Evaluate new investment opportunities and assist with related financial due diligence
Conduct corporate expense analysis and recommend cost-saving initiatives
Manage bi-monthly payroll and coordinate with external HR/payroll administrators
Support real estate and loan closings, including preparation of financial documentation
Prepare personal and trust financial statements for partners and lending purposes
Maintain insurance records, entity compliance, and financial documentation
Perform client bank reconciliations and review reconciliations prepared by staff
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a family office, real estate, or investment environment
Strong understanding of financial reporting, cash flow management, and investment accounting
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Excel, and general accounting systems
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
