ROLE: Lead Carpenter/ Handyman

FUNCTION: As a Lead Carpenter/Handyman, your role is vital in ensuring the successful completion of various construction and repair projects.

REPORTS TO: Vice President

HOURS & LOCATION: 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday thru Friday, with occasional Saturdays and overtime.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a carpenter/handyman, with knowledge of various carpentry techniques (Minimum 10 yrs experience)

- Strong proficiency in using hand and power tools

- Solid understanding of construction and renovation processes

- Excellent knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

- Effective time management and organizational skills

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

- Good communication and technical skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Plan and execute various carpentry and handyman tasks including but not limited to framing, roofing, flooring, and cabinetry installation

- Interpret and analyze blueprints, designs, and construction plans

- Measure, cut, shape, and join materials using hand and power tools

- Install doors, windows, and other fixtures, ensuring proper functionality and alignment

- Repair and replace damaged or worn-out components in structures and fixtures

- Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members, providing guidance and training

when necessary

- Ensure adherence to project schedules and deadlines.

- Utilize appropriate safety protocols and equipment to ensure a secure working environment

- Stay updated with the latest carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
